The founder and CEO of one of Thailand’s best known luxury hotel chains, Ho Kwon Ping will share his thoughts on where opportunities in the UAE’s growing tourism industry lie and the role of international cooperation in the post-Covid recovery.

Ho Kwon Ping is founder and executive chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings and Laguna Resorts and Hotels, and executive chairman of Thai Wah Public Company. He is also founding and current chairman of the board of trustees of Singapore Management University and chairman of The Singapore Summit. Mr Ho was economics editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review in Hong Kong before joining the Thai Wah family business and starting his own companies. He has published two books: “Asking Why”, reflecting on his 40-year journey in journalism and entrepreneurship, and “The Ocean in a Drop: Singapore in the Next Fifty Years”, a compilation of public lectures.
